Duncan Barkes brought his Back Your Local Boozer campaign to Liverpool City Centre as he visited the Ship & Mitre.

The fifth pub on Dunc's pub trail was packed out as he arrived with people waiting for him to buy them a drink.
The Ship & Mitre plays host to many local society groups including ladies from the Liverpool Knit-Whits who meet in the pub to knit and have a chat. Duncan was also impressed with the upstairs function room which still has many of its original wooden features - pictures available in the gallery.
