Peter McDowall

Biography

Peter graduated from Liverpool John Moores University 2001 with a degree in journalism. 

He started his career in local newspapers with Wirral News Group as a trainee reporter, and then worked for Marcher Radio Group for 15 months which included stints at Buzz and MFM before making the move to Radio City.
   
Peter worked under Steve Hothersall, News & Sports Editor becoming his Deputy News Editor in 2005.

This was the start of a busy period for him as he also became Breakfast Sports Journalist and took on presenting the Saturday Sports Show and Terrace Talk full time.

Peter was head hunted by Liverpool FC's new Setanta Sports TV channel in August 2007 but was drawn back to Radio City a few months later having been offered the post of Sports Presenter on CityTalk 105.9.
