THURSDAY 26th FEBRUARY: Drive Time - Full of facts and figures

The world of movies is very close to my heart as most listeners will know and it was great to have the fab Barry Norman on in the week before the Oscars.

Just as he appears on TV, Barry was calm, reserved and full of facts, figures and views – an all time great broadcaster.

It has also been a week where unfortunately we have once again had to highlight the cases of the Dunne family and the Shields clan.

Both sets of parents visited the studio to give us the latest update on their plights and it finally seems that the Dunnes, the nicest family, are finally going to be able to lay their son to rest in a few weeks.

What appalled me was the red tape put in their way by the Spanish authorities which was inexcusable and why the government couldn’t help them out with the £10k they needed to bring Gary’s body home when some Guantanamo Bay inmate cost taxpayers £120,000 to bring him home – where is the justice?

Once again thanks to everyone who has appeared on the show and of course to you - if you have any thoughts you would like to share live on Drive Time remember it is your stage to be heard.

Greatest care
